ABOUT LAURIE PLANT

Laurie Plant works from a studio in Cirencester, in the Cotswolds where he lives with his wife Andrea and their two year old son Finlay.

Most recent projects include an artwork for Conisbee Associates, Islington, a painting of The London Guildhall and creating more than fifty paintings for The Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester.

In 2015 he travelled around eight countries in Asia, drawing and painting continually, including architectural commissions in Hong Kong and Burma and teaching art in schools in Cambodia.

His artwork has always centred around people and the human body, places and architecture and he always has a pad and pencil to draw 'on the spot ideas' wherever he goes.

He received bursary to study a Masters in Art and Art History, University of Wales, has a 1st Class Honours from Lancaster University and studied a foundation year at Cheltenham. In addition to many other educational roles, Plant has held posts with the Universities of Bath and Wales.
